after several months/years of continous use of pc, may make it hang during processing. here are some solutions to solve this problem...
performance1:removal of temp file waste in the hard-disk
click start----> run---->type 'prefetch','cleanmgr','%temp%' commands individually and perform its operation.
for prefetch and %temp% commands
it will lead to its folder, u copy all the content in the folder and delete the content
after deleting it don't forget to empty recycle bin
as simple as that
performance2:defragment now
right click on 'my computer'---->click 'tools'----->'defragment now' ---->select the drive to wish to defrag.
u can also check if any bad sector is created by
right cliking on the drive ---->properties----->tools----->check now
as simple as that
performance3:un-check the start-up menu programs
actually when ever u on ur pc too many programs like yahoo,download mangers,gtalk,and many others start their programs auto automatically reducing ur pc speed.
click start---->run---->msconfig--->window opens
un-check all the unnecessary programs that u don't need at the start.
click apply ----->click servies tab in the same window
services---->uncheck unwanted services---->apply---->boot.ini tab
click Boot.INI----->change 30 sec time out to 10 sec---->set (to reduce booting process time)
as simple as that
tips:
refresh after closing very app by
press f5 (or) right click on the screen and click refresh
don't use wallpapers higher than your screen resolution
don't install more number of programs in c drive on which the os works on.
(uninstall unnecessary programs which are used rarely from 'add&remove programs' from 'control panel')
eg: i install dvd soft cd to pc copy software only when the videos in the cd are locked to copy them on to pc and again uninstall them after use
don't open any appilications untill the system is booted completely
always keep 10GB free space in the os running drive(c-drive)
use updated virus scanner(anti virus) and scan ur computer scheduled
burn all the movies or video songs on to dvd's or cd's and store them seperately from the pc
as simple as that
